For 75 years, we've believed in the best in every child. Come celebrate with us!

The Optimist Club of Glen Lake is turning 75, and we're throwing a summer party for the whole community. This is a FREE, family-friendly event packed with activities, fun, and the kind of summer joy that's been the heart of our club since the very beginning. Whether you've been part of the Optimist family for years or you're discovering us for the first time, there's a place for you here.

🎪 Activities / What to Expect

A day full of fun for the whole family

There's something for everyone at the 75th Anniversary Summer Party! Here's a taste of what's in store:

  • 🦙 Llamas — Yes, really! Come meet our friendly four-legged guests

  • 🏠 Bounce House — Kids will love it (and so will the parents watching)

  • ⛳ Mini Golf — Tee up for some friendly competition

  • 🎾 Yard Games — Classic outdoor fun for all ages

  • ⚾ Batting Cages — Step up to the plate!

  • 🎨 Face Painting — Walk in as yourself, leave as a butterfly

  • 🎈 Balloon Animals — Twisted into whatever your heart desires

  • 🌴 Jungle Gym — Climb, explore, and burn off some energy

  • 🍧 Snow Cones & Free Water — Stay cool all afternoon

Serving youth in our community since 1951

The Optimist Club of Glen Lake has spent 75 years doing one thing: believing in the potential of young people and investing in their futures. From youth programs to community events, our members show up year after year — not because they have to, but because they genuinely care about the kids and families of Glen Lake, Hopkins, and Minnetonka.

As a chapter of Optimist International, we're part of a worldwide movement built on the belief that a positive, service-driven community makes life better for everyone — especially children. Our local club has carried that mission forward right here in our own backyard for three quarters of a century.

This summer party isn't just a celebration of our anniversary. It's a celebration of every family we've served, every program we've run, and every community member who has stood alongside us. We're proud of where we've been — and excited about where we're going.
